Sugar Scrub Body Bar Recipe

Sugar Scrub Body Bar Recipe

1 cup Sugar
⅓ cup Shea Butter
1 tbs Coconut Oil
¼ cup Beeswax Pellets
1 tsp Hibiscus Powder
1 tbs Rose Petals
Soap Mold

1. Combine the shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax in a double boiler and gently heat until the beeswax is melted. Once everything is melted remove from heat and add in the hibiscus powder.

2. While your oils are melting, sprinkle a few dried rose petals into your molds. These will peak through your bars and add a little decoration on top.

3. Next add in your drops of essential oils to the melted oils.

4. In this next step stir the sugar into your melted oils. After you add the sugar it is going to solidify quickly so have your molds ready to go.

5. Set  your molds aside for a couple hours until they are hardened. Once the sugar scrub bars are solid flip the molds over and press your sugar scrub bars out.

Store the unused bars in an airtight container until ready to use.

To use your sugar scrub bar in the shower to gently exfoliate skin and rinse clean to make sure you get all the little sugar crystals off your body. Use once or twice a week. Skin that has been gently exfoliated can absorb body butters and lotion better. Don’t use it on your face, the skin of the face is too thin and sensitive.

When done showering, pat the bar dry and store on a soap dish in a dry place (like not in the shower).

Essential oils are optional in this recipe (the rose petals and the hibiscus are also optional)
